Employee Referral Terms and Conditions

Subject to the terms and conditions herein, Shift4 will pay a $500 referral bonus (the “Referral Bonus”) to any Qualifying Employee who refers a New Merchant to Shift4 Payments, LLC (“Shift4”).

A “New Merchant” is a business who:

• Is a restaurant or food and beverage establishment located in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania area;
• Is referred to Shift4 by the Qualifying Employee via a completed submission in Shift4’s referral portal;
• As a result of the referral, signs Shift4’s standard merchant processing agreement (“MPA”) during the Promotional Period (defined below);
• During the Promotional Period, migrates from another company’s POS system to Shift4’s Shift4 Dine POS system, and installs and begins using Shift4’s Shift4 Dine POS system after agreeing to Shift4’s standard terms and conditions;
• Has not had a direct or indirect relationship for payment processing with Shift4 or its referral partners in the 6 month period preceding the date it signed the MPA and is not an existing lead of Shift4 or its referral partners as of the referral date (an “Existing Merchant”);
• Is not affiliated with, or in the same franchise with, an Existing Merchant;
• Processes its first live transaction with Shift4 during the Promotional Period using Shift4’s Shift4 Dine POS system (the “Go Live Date”);
• Has not cancelled its contract with Shift4 and/or has not rejected fees or failed to pay Shift4 for services provided within 90 days of the referral date;
• Processes at least $20,000 in transactions with Shift4 in the first full calendar month following the Go Live Date;
• Referral must contain valid contact information for the owner and/or decision maker at the merchant location, including Names, Cell Phone numbers, and/or email addresses. If not, the lead can be rolled back to the normal referral program;
• Meets all of the other terms and conditions for the Signing Bonus.

A “Qualifying Employee” is an employee of Shift4 (a W-2 employee and not a contractor) located in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania or surrounding area as reasonably determined by Shift4.)

The Referral Bonus promotion (“Promotion”) begins on July 15, 2024, and automatically expires on September 30, 2025 (the “Promotional Period”). Shift4 reserves the right to (i) withdraw or modify the Promotion, including any Referral Bonus at any time, without notice, (ii) determine, in its sole discretion, whether any particular Shift4 Dine customer qualifies as a New Merchant, and (iii) withhold any Referral Bonus, including in instances where Shift4 reasonably believes that any Qualifying Employee or New Merchant has not acted in good faith. The Referral Bonus will be paid to Qualifying Employees approximately 60 days from the date first earned or reported, and may be included on the Qualifying Employee’s paycheck subject to all applicable taxes and withholdings. The opportunity to participate in the Referral Bonus promotion is only available to select parties who have been contacted by Shift4. The Referral Bonus cannot be used with any other promotion, bonus, credit, or incentive.
